Best Place to stay in Deer Valley

This Lodge is in the perfect location right in the middle of the ski resort. It's in the middle of a tiny hill that has a chairlift go to the top, so it's the best kind of ski-in-ski-out! The service was great (car service to go to dinner in town and get to and from airport), and the rooms (which are more like apartments) are very well suited to different groups of people.

The Spa at Stein Eriksen Lodge

The yoga class with Susie was one of the best yoga classes I have ever had!!!! She is just terrific. She customized the class to our needs. She had beautiful spirit and energy. Her singing was a special treat!!!!

Wonderful old lodge with history but dated and over priced

Couldn’t wait to stay at Stein Eriksons. Ski on ski off, Stein’s character, good food and amenities. What I found was dated rooms ($1k/night ones...although great views), that were missing the old character I expected, average service (very nice but inexperienced), and the food at the Gliterine was a disaster. 4 of us with expensive dishes that were not good. Chicken overdone, lamb not cooked and then overdone and tough etc. The guys helping with skis and lockers were amazing. Registration desk also very helpful and great experience. I’m hoping it makes a come back in the areas I found lacking....because great location in a fabulous resort.

Dear AnneL760, We sincerely appreciate your stay with us and for taking the time to provide your review. I am terribly sorry to hear that your stay fell short of expectations with rooms and your meal at the Glitretind restaurant. Please know that we take the feedback we receive very seriously and are always looking at ways to improve both the facilities and service. I am glad you enjoyed the service you received in both ski locker room and at registration. Please feel free to reach out to me directly for future bookings. Sincerely, Berkely Tolman Hotel Manager

A winter wonderland in every way

We spent 3 nights over the holidays at this wonderful property and loved everything about it...the staff were wonderful...always responsive and eager to help. It is a large property so carefully select where you want to stay. We were put in a room that was quite a walk from the main lodge and in the cold, snowy weather we preferred to be in the lodge so fortunately they were able to move us. But, if you prefer being off in a quieter area than you have lots of options. The hotel was decorated for the holidays so it added to our experience but I would return to this hotel any time of the year and know we would love it just as much. The location is ideal and there is a shuttle that takes you into town that runs frequently so you don't need to rent a car. And, the ski slope is accessed right from the hotel. I could not recommend this property more.
